    Metrocare is the largest provider of mental health services in Dallas County, serving more than 57,000 adults and children annually.  For more than fifty (50) years, Metrocare has provided an array of services available to people with mental and developmental disabilities. In addition to behavioral health services, Metrocare provides primary care centers for adults and children, accessible pharmacies, housing and supportive social services. Through the Altshuler Center for Education & Research we are advancing mental health beyond Dallas County.

     

    The Program Supervisor II supports and is supported by the Program Manager 1  in managing and directing the overall operations of the Respite program. 

    Responsibilities

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:  (Other duties may be assigned.)

    • Manages the respite program.
    • Responsible for the monitoring and training of RU850 staff
    • Ensures contract compliance that meets or exceeds any contractual requirements
    • Responsible for consumer safety and ensures that every consumer is adequately supervised
    • Responsible for quality assurance of all case files to ensure that all charts and documentation meet TAC, contract and Metrocare standards
    • Responsible for program billing and communication

    Qualifications

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:            

    Bachelor’s degree in social sciences or related field, experience in healthcare operation. Bilingual (Spanish) desired.

    • Strong consultative abilities, conflict-resolution skills, and leadership abilities.
    • Gain cooperation through discussion and persuasion.
    • Communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.
    • Supervise, train and evaluate assigned personnel.
    • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with those contacted in the course of work including diverse interest groups including advocacy groups and other governmental organizations. 

    COMPUTER SKILLS:

    • Intermediate level on MS Word and Excel
    • Email
    • Ability to utilize Internet for resources 

    CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, TRAINING, REGISTRATIONS:

    • CPR
    • SAMA
