    Metrocare is the largest provider of mental health services in Dallas County, serving more than 57,000 adults and children annually.  For more than fifty (50) years, Metrocare has provided an array of services available to people with mental and developmental disabilities. In addition to behavioral health services, Metrocare provides primary care centers for adults and children, accessible pharmacies, housing and supportive social services. Through the Altshuler Center for Education & Research we are advancing mental health beyond Dallas County.


    The Operations Team Lead is responsible for reconciling monthly expenditures, managing Leasing and Recertification coordinators, and general grant coordination.



    The essential functions listed here are representative of those that must be met to successfully perform the job.

    • Provides general supervision over Housing Operations staff.
    • Creates and provides staff trainings for day to day duties.
    • Participates in Continuum of Care and community development meetings. 
    • Reviews budgets to verify accurate costs each month and resolve any inconsistencies.
    • Completes weekly payment requests and submits to Finance for payment.
    • Ensures Grant Update reports are accurate and readily available for management each week.
    • Ensures files are complete and compliant under HUD guidelines.
    • Assists Recertification Coordinators with annual and during program recertifications.
    • Assists Leasing Coordinator with establishing participant eligibility and managing relationships with properties.
    • Processes rent, completes lease violations, and notices to vacate.
    • Conducts initial phone interviews and screening through pre-interview questionnaires.
    • Schedules interview appointments with hiring managers and the candidates.
    • Maintains current knowledge of the company’s organization structure, personnel policies, and federal and state laws regarding employment practices.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business, Human Resources or related field. Master’s degree preferred.
    • Minimum 1 to 3 years of office management or finance experience.


    • Intermediate math skills required.
    • Ability to understand and analyze financial data.
    • Ability to calculate figures and amounts to accurately report financial data.


    • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one or two-step instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.


    • Use computer, printer, and software programs necessary to the position (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint).
    • Ability to create tables, enter formulas, and format cells using Excel.
    • Typing 50+wpm and 10-Key entry experience.


    • Current State of Texas Driver License or if you live in another state, must be currently licensed in that state. If licensed in another state, must obtain Texas Driver License within three (3) months of employment.
    • Liability insurance required if employee will operate personal vehicle on Center property or for Center business. Must be insurable by Center’s liability carrier if employee operates a Center vehicle or drives personal car on Center business.  Must have an acceptable driving record


    • Position requires moderate travel and community-based work within Dallas County.


    Positions that are “community-based,” in whole or part, require the incumbent to travel between various worksites within his/her workday/workweek. The incumbent is required to have reliable transportation that can facilitate this requirement. The incumbent is further required to meet the criteria for insurability by the Center’s risk management facilitator; and produce proof of minimal auto liability coverage when applicable. Failure to meet these terms may result in disciplinary action up to and including termination of employment, contract or other status with Metrocare
