In addition to behavioral health services, Metrocare provides primary care centers for adults and children, accessible pharmacies, housing and supportive social services. Through the Altshuler Center for Education & Research and our software initiative, XenatiX, we are advancing mental health beyond Dallas County.

 

The Lead BCBA will be responsible for coordinating the day to day functions, creating structures to better facilitate assigned services of the assigned CCAM location. Provide CCAM consumers with behavioral services so that their learning experiences are optimized. Perform professional work in assessment and ABA services.

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: (Other duties may be assigned.)

  • Manage the day-to-day operation of the team or program according to a business profit-center model
  • Ensures program staff remains current on required training records and files.
  • Attends administrative meetings and participates in committees, as requested. Conducts special projects and studies as directed.
  • Fosters an environment of continuous quality improvement.
  • The position ensures that there are adequate systems in place that define and monitor intake, service planning, on-going treatment, medical records and transfer/discharge.
  • Directly supervise the Behavior Intervention Specialist including staff performance and appraisals
  • Assessments and Evaluations utilizing the Assessment of Basic Language and Learning Skills (ABLLS), or the Verbal Behavior Milestones Assessment and Placement Program (VBMAPP)
  • Develop clear behavioral acquisition, intervention and reduction plans
  • Data analysis
  • Hands-on implementation, monitoring and adjustment of intervention plans
  • Participate in treatment plan meetings, ARD meetings, and other planning meetings as needed.
  • Document interactions and progress of consumers

Qualifications

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:            

  • Masters in Applied Behavior Analysis or related field with emphasis in Applied Behavior Analysis
  • Minimum of three years experience in delivery of ABA to the autism population
  • Experience working with children ages 3 to 12
  • Experience with Autism specific ABA/PBS program development and training
  • Experience supervising staff

CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:

  • Board Certification- Board Certified Behavior Analyst
  • Bi- annual training in CPR and annual training in SAMA
